Moderator: Welcome. Ricky Martin told

Moderator: woman in - "She Bangs." But what do
Moderator: you really know about RICKY MARTIN?
Moderator: This is your chance to chat
Moderator: live with Ricky Martin. We're
Moderator: just about ready to begin.
Moderator: Start sending your questions now,
Moderator: then order SOUND LOADED, and
Moderator: explore the rest of the site.

Ricky Martin: Hello, everybody. Thanks for joining me. We'll be talking for
thirty minutes. Let's have fun while we are at it! Today is a very important
day. My album, "Sound Loaded," is in stores! Let's talk a little about it!

Beatriz: What is the first thing you do when you wake up every morning? Do
you meditate, or do something totally different from that?
Ricky Martin: I stretch, I guess so I can get a little more tired. But no, I
definitely meditate, without leaving my bed. I stretch, sit, and spend,
maybe, 20 minutes in silence, just getting ready for whatever the day has
for me.

Mona: Which was the happiest moment in your life?
Ricky Martin: The happiest moment in my life? There have been many happy
days in my life! You have got me thinking. A very intense moment was when I
went sky diving, and believe it or not, it was very spiritual, as well as a
very humbling experience.

Beatriz: When you ever get the time to relax, what do you do to keep you
from thinking of the busy schedule up ahead?
Ricky Martin: I watch a couple of movies, and I flip channels all day long!
I play with my dogs and wash my car. I have four dogs.

Hot Baby Gurl: Is it hard to make friends when you are always on the road?
Ricky Martin: You meet a lot of very beautiful and very interesting people.
I feel like a rich man when we talk about friendship. I have a lot of great
friends--friends that I have known for 10, 15, and 17 years--who have been
there all along, and, for me, that is very important.

EZ Guest: What is your favorite thing to do other than perform?
Ricky Martin: I love surfing. I love locking myself in the studio to create
music; hours fly by.

Brian: I'm a big fan, and I know your record should be #1 on MTV's TRL. How
do I vote for you on TRL?
Ricky Martin: You go to mtv.com! Look for TRL, and you will find a page of
the nominees where you vote. Thank you!

Big Tymer: Ricky, have you ever thought about trying out acting in
Hollywood?
Ricky Martin: In fact, I'm reading some scripts right now, and they seem
very interesting. All this would be for me to shoot in the year 2002 if I
say yes, but definitely, it's something that I really love doing. I have to
be part of the big screen here in America, some day. I have been so in
Mexico, and it was a beautiful, beautiful experience.

Ricky Gurl 4ever: My grandma thinks you're wonderful!
Ricky Martin: Thank you very much! Send her my love! I hope she enjoys the
album, as well. If I ever go to your city, you better take her to the show.
She'll have a good time!

Tania: Ricky, do you wish you still had a private life? And if so, why?
Ricky Martin: I have a private life, but I think it's very beautiful what
I'm going through, right now. Eventually, I will have time to buy my house
in front of the beach in Puerto Rico, and spend some time with less
adrenaline than the one I'm going through right now! But I feel good the way
it is right now.

Glam Rocker: How is this CD different from your last one?
Ricky Martin: The sound is a little bit more international, and more mature.
The influence is Middle Eastern, Latin, and we have a little bit of blues. I
think it's my favorite album that I have created so far. We gave our hearts
into each and every track, and each producer understood exactly where I was,
emotionally, and I think we did a really good job.

Marc: Do you work out? Any special diet?
Ricky Martin: I do yoga and lots of chocolate! The best workout is to be on
stage, but yes, I try to go to the gym as much as I can--maybe two or three
times a week.

Snr Bonita: How long does it take for employees, friends, acquaintances,
etc. to get over being star-struck around you? Also, do you ever have
trouble with people believing that you really are Ricky Martin? It has to
have happened to you at least once, right?
Ricky Martin: Definitely, definitely! They say, "You're not Ricky Martin;
you look better on television!" My friends have always been there for more
than 17 years now. The people surrounding me…I think it's about the
approach. I am very friendly, very relaxed, and it's all good! Peace and
love.

Puckie: Have you ever had a girl distract you while you were performing, and
so badly that you lost concentration?
Ricky Martin: Yes! Yes, motivational, in fact, and inspirational, as well,
but it happens. Sometimes it's good to lose concentration.

Candy Girl: Where is your hometown?
Ricky Martin: I live in Miami, but my home is Puerto Rico.

Moderator: Thanks for a great hour, Ricky! Any final thoughts?
Ricky Martin: Thank you so much for your support, and I hope you enjoy
"Sound Loaded." It's now in stores. See you soon!
